Their ceilings have become our floors, so we proudly start where they’ve finished and strive to carry on something that will make them as equally proud as we are to steward such a gift. Our team at Legacy Onshore has been highly trained by some of the best landmen we’ve ever known, many of whom are unsung giants in their knowledge, character, and stewardship of this great industry. Meet The Owners
Work directly with us
We understand that companies succeed because of vision and direction, which starts at the top of any organization. When you work with Legacy Onshore, as a client or a contractor, you will never find our team lacking for either.
Jeremy began his career as a landman in 2002 when his father-in-law, who was a broker at the time, recruited him into the land business for what would only be a “6-month project.”
That “short-term” project was the beginning of what quickly became known as the Barnett Shale boom! Needless to say, it wasn’t short-term, and Jeremy quickly became captivated with the fast-paced environment of buying leases, running title, and staying ahead of drilling rigs.
Now, with a family of four, Jeremy and his wife Ashley have two sons. They reside in Conroe, TX and love being a part of their local community, church, as well as the community of landmen in the oil and gas industry. When you can’t find Jeremy at his desk, you’ll find him at one of his kids many events, volunteering at several local non-profits, spending time outdoors either fishing or hunting, or enjoying time with his wife, Ashley.
Pax began his career as a landman in 2010 over a summer internship under the supervisions of his mother and her colleagues.
Prior to this, he had helped his mother put together old-school runsheet packages by punching holes, numbering copies and binding them together. Under his mother’s tutelage, Pax began to understand what it would take to succeed in this ever-changing and always challenging industry.
Upon graduating from Baylor University in 2011, Pax returned to the land world and has never looked back. Pax and his wife, Michelle, reside in Bullard, TX with their three kids and English Bulldog.
When Pax isn’t working, he’s probably throwing the baseball with his son, chasing one of his other little’s, on the golf course, or at the lake.

Our Legacy
We master our future with experiences from our past.
The Past
Both Pax and Jeremy were brought into this business in the same manner. It was a family affair. Jeremy was introduced to the land business by his father-in-law in 2002 and Pax was introduced by his mother in 2010.
What started as two very green and inexperienced young landmen, has blossomed into several decades of experience, relationship, and mentorship.
The Start
Legacy Onshore was founded in 2018 when Pax Richey and Jeremy Box teamed up to combine their years of experience as landmen and project managers to bring a new value to their clients. The name Legacy is intentional as we seek to honor those who have taught, encouraged, and challenged us to settle for nothing less than excellence. From the beginning, this standard of excellence was, and always will be, at the forefront of our focus.
The Present
Today, Legacy Onshore is compiled of a team of highly skilled landmen with shared values that are always seeking to grow in our knowledge and aptitude. We are focused on meeting our clients’ needs while cultivating a culture of honor that seeks to value people over money; family over work; and God above all else.
The Future
It is true that success is not an accident, so we are focused on the present knowing that our efforts today will build our success for tomorrow. The Legacy we hope to leave is one that makes us respected in our industry and famous in our families.
